PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS Free-to-Play Reward on PlayStation®
Hello Survivors!
As you have read in our Free-to-Play Announcement, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS is transitioning to Free-to-Play. All players who have owned and played PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS before the free-to-play service transition will be eligible to claim the PUBG – SPECIAL FREE TO PLAY TRANSITION PACK, which includes a free BATTLEGROUNDS Plus upgrade and various rewards.
On PlayStation®, all the above benefits can be acquired through claiming the rewards as outlined below. In the case of other platforms, rewards can be received automatically after the transition to Free-to-Play.
PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS F2P Transition Reward
Players who own PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS before the transition to Free-to-Play will be eligible to claim the free-to-play transition rewards. On PlayStation® consoles, claiming the transition pack in advance to the F2P transition is required to acquire the rewards.
How-To
- Go to PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS in-game STORE – ADD-ONS then select PUBG – SPECIAL FREE TO PLAY TRANSITION PACK.
- Preview will not be provided.
- Once you claim the reward, the status changes to PURCHASED, and the DLC cannot be purchased again.
- You can find the PUBG – SPECIAL FREE TO PLAY TRANSITION PACK under CUSTOMIZE – UTILITY – CRATES.
- This crate cannot be opened.
- BATTLEGROUNDS Plus account upgrade and rewards will be distributed according to the schedule.
- This DLC cannot be purchased from the PlayStation™ Store. It is only available from the PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS in-game store.

- PST: December 12, 2021 11 PM – January 10, 2022 11 AM
- CET: December 13, 2021 8 AM – January 10, 2022 8 PM
- KST: December 13 ,2021 4 PM – January 11, 2022 4 AM
- Price: Free of charge
- If you are playing on a Japanese PSN account, purchasing the package for 100 yen is required due to the Japanese gift-related laws and platform policy. For more information, please read here.
Rewards Delivery
- After the Free-to-Play transition on January 12.
- BATTLEGROUNDS Plus account upgrade will be applied automatically with the game launch.
- Rewards apart from BATTLEGROUNDS Plus can be found under CUSTOMIZE – UTILITY. You will need to open the crates to acquire the items.
PlayStation™Now
PS Now streaming play does not support DLC purchases. Therefore, rewards cannot be claimed through streaming play. Please download and install PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS on your PS4 or PS5 consoles to claim the rewards.
